Your information - how it is collected and stored

The Friends of the Sound of Jura website stores very limited information about our site visitors. We have a CONTACT US form which allows you to send us a message/enquiry or to subscribe to our Newsletter. The details you fill in (name, email address) are passed to us by email and are stored on the website and only our web administrators can access these. We will retain the emails sent to us this way and may use your contact details to respond to you about your enquiry and to send Newsletters if you have signed up to receive these.  Emails requesting our Newsletter are stored in a password protected document which is kept locked between alterations.  We do not disclose visitors’ information to any other parties and your information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to display our site. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

If you have any queries about our use of your data please contact us at info@friendsofthesoundofjura.org.uk or use the contact form you can find on the website.

Cookies

This site uses cookies.  A cookie is a small text-based file given to you by a visited website that helps identify you to that site. Cookies are used to facilitate your visit as you navigate different pages on a website or return to the website at a later time.

Unless you have specifically told your browser not to accept cookies, almost all websites place cookies on your devices. This is not in itself a security or privacy issue.

However, cookies can be used by some systems to, for instance track your web usage to work out which advertisements to show you, or gain information about your social networking usage. If you worry that this impinges on your privacy, search for 'block all cookies' or view this page for an idea of how to tell your browser not to allow them.

If you do this you may find that some websites will not work for you at all, or on others some functionality, like shopping baskets may not work.

The Friends of the Sound of Jura website has always used cookies as outlined above, but we now need to inform you of this.

If you don't consent to the above use please either leave the site or configure your browser to block cookies from it.
